About the Video

Our Philosophy

Our use of happy and animated faces utilizes infant developmental research. When the new baby sees the face it expects to be fed and have its needs met. This experience programs the brain to search for faces and voices for comfort and joy.

The creators of this video are parents themselves. They learned quickly that their daughter loved to gaze at the parade of young, old, dark and light "friendly faces" that passed by her stroller. She squealed with delight when she recognized the familiar doggies, trees, flowers and balloons that populate the "baby places". Using Baby About Town, in conjunction with the introduction to real life situations, helps your baby to assimilate the world more easily. Naming the familiar sites in the video gives your baby a sense of accomplishment and allows you to teach many new words with needed repetition.
